Since the inception of St. George Orthodox Church of Prescott, over twenty years ago, we have felt God’s calling to serve those in need both within and beyond our immediate church family. We support those requiring assistance and those serving both locally and globally. To this end, we have dedicated 10% of our total annual stewardship pledges to fund charities that meet the criteria set out by our Priest and Church Board.
We encourage all parishioners to bring to our attention for consideration any charities that may fit the mission and criteria of our charitable outreach ministry.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you welcomed me; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me… as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.”
Matthew 25:35-36,40
